Gale at the GaLW Gazebo

As part of the inaugural Wrexham Learning Festival launching on Saturday 9 September Lifelong Learning and GaLW (Gateway to Libraries in Wrexham) have teamed up to provide a series of events centred at the Queen’s Square Learning Market.  Twenty-four learning stalls and a number of interactive vehicles will be present together with the GaLW site.

As well as Minstrels and Jesters the medieval theme will be maintained when Fiona Gale, County Archaeologist for Denbighshire, and popular speaker on archaeological and historical topics, provides a talk on Medieval Wrexham in the GaLW Gazebo at 10.30 am.

Lifelong Learning together with their partners, the BBC and the Welsh Language Board will also have the Hysbys on site. With computers and a broadcasting studio on board, you could take part in short courses and taster sessions, as well as surf and contribute to some of the partners' websites. Information and advice will be available to you about the range of courses offered by the School of Lifelong Learning. You will also get an opportunity to contribute to BBC content in Welsh and in English in various ways. The Welsh Language Board will be promoting and facilitating the use of the Welsh language.

All events at the Wrexham Learning Festival launch day are free of charge and all the major learning providers from across Wrexham will be present and offering tasters and events.  The Learning Market opens at 10.00 am and closes at 3.00pm.
