Prof Lynn Hodgkinson

Professor in Accounting & Finance

–

Professor Lynn Hodgkinson was first appointed to Bangor Business School in 1987 following the completion of her PhD studies as a Research Officer at Plymouth Business School. She left Bangor to take up a senior lectureship at Liverpool University in 2002 but returned to Bangor as a senior lecturer in 2003 and became Professor of Accounting and Finance in 2006. Her recent publications include papers in British Accounting Review, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management and Corporate Governance: an International Review.

Lynn was recently the Chair for the Conference of Professors of Accounting and Finance.

Teaching and Supervision

I currently teach two postgraduate modules: Finance for Managers and International Financial Management.

I enable undergraduate students to become acquainted with the professional accounting package, Sage, for which they can gain certification providing the required grades are achieved.

Research Interests

My current research interests include:

behavioural finance and accounting disclosures;

credit ratings and debtholder/stockholder conflict;

Say on Pay and performance conditions; and 

ex-dividend share price reaction and the value of dividends.
