ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Guidance on entry requirements for part-time study
Undergraduate Students
If you want to study your degree part-time, you will still need to meet the course requirements. Normally you will be asked for a minimum of UCAS tariff points. Your GCE, A and AS levels, VCEs and Key Skills results can be used to calculate your overall points.
All applications are dealt with individually and even if you do not quite get the results asked for, the university will still consider your case. For details of more specific entry requirements please see relevant course pages.
Postgraduate Students
Usually, postgraduate applicants should have an appropriate first degree with a minimum of second class honours, or alternatively a qualification or experience which is acceptable as equivalent. Masters programmes also require a minimum degree classification. Bachelor degrees gained in the UK are normally accepted.
Research Degrees
Research degree applicant should have an excellent appropriate degree with first or upper second class honours, or equivalent.
**Some programmes may require a higher degree classification or a high degree award
