'Multiculturalism in Austrian Bukovina'

Serhiy Nezhurbida will discuss (with Stefan Machura) the phenomenon of the Multiculturalism in Bukovina, a region in Eastern Europe, being as integral part of the Habsburg Monarchy (1775-1804), the Austrian Empire (1804-1867), the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1867-1918). The subject of discussion will be the history and mechanism of successfully organized communities in Bukovina with tolerance and balance in terms of peoples, ethnic groups, languages and religions.
Serhiy Nezhurbida is a researcher in the fields of Criminology and History. His research focuses on the Aetiology of Crime and History of Bukovina.
