Thomas Perry studied law at Bangor, graduating in 2011 with an LLB (First Class). He has worked in the law school since 2013 where his responsibilities now include being the module leader on the Contract Law and Commercial Law modules.
Prior to working in the law school, Thomas was a software developer and publisher, specialising in developing interactive resources for children and young adults with special educational needs. Having worked in the creative sector, he is particularly interested in copyright law, focusing his research on the challenging relationship between law and technology.
Thomas is the Module Leader on the following modules:
- SXL 1112/2212 Contract Law
- SXL 2150/3150 Commercial Law
Thomas is currently undertaking research on copyright law, focusing on how the development of the internet has affected the effectiveness of copyright law and the economic rights granted to rights holders.
