Research Project Support Officer
Andrei is a Research Project Support Officer currently working as Trial Manager of TOPCAT-P (Trial Of Personalised Care After Treatment - Prostate cancer). The project aims to pilot a nurse-led intervention, individualised according to each patient’s needs and delivered in primary care. The intervention is designed in alignment with emerging systems in the North Wales health economy (BCUHB), and is based on a similar trial in Oxford (PROSPECTIV; Cancer Research UK, 2012).
Andrei is also in the last year of his PhD in Psychology at Bangor University, researching emotional memory in amnesia. His work included an international collaboration on a successful grant application investigating the emotional valence, arousal and stability of discrete emotions in Transient Global Amnesia. During this time Andrei has also taught Psychology undergraduate Research Methods and Statistics seminars and co-supervised five MSc students.
