Negar is a third-year PhD candidate in Finance at AGBS. Her research interests are FinTech, Financial Literacy, and InsurTech. Negar is under the supervision of Professor Owain ap Gwilym, Dr. Sara Parry, and Dr. Charlotte Rimmer. 

During the 2025/26 academic year, Negar serves as a student representative for postgraduate research students (PGR Rep).
