Lecturer in Finance
Dr Danial Hemmings is a Lecturer in Finance at Bangor Business School. He gained his PhD in Accounting and Finance at Bangor University in 2017 while a member of academic staff. Danial has broad teaching experience in the areas of Corporate Finance, Behavioural Finance, Financial Markets, Financial Management, Accounting and Accounting Communication, as well as experience in PhD-level training, supervision and examination. He is active in researching topics across Accounting and Finance and has published his research in high-quality international journals, and presented at international conferences and as an invited speaker at other prominent business schools.
Danial is currently involved in a portfolio of research projects spanning topics in the areas of climate finance, disclosure and financial reporting quality, corporate governance and shareholder votes, initial and follow-on equity offerings, alternative floatation devices, as well as analyst and social media-disseminated research. He has also been involved in projects funded by the Welsh Government, ESRC, British Academy and Leverhulme Trust. Danial is passionate about teaching and strives to incorporate his research activities and exposures into his teaching.
