I joined Bangor Univeristy in 2023 as Lecturer in TEFL and Applied Linguistics. I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate, with particular emphasis on modules in English Teaching in Classroom, SLA and Language Teaching, EFL Theory and Teaching EFL. As the programme coordinator, I work closely with the Department’s PGT lead for Bangor’s Applied Linguistics Master’s program. 

My last position was at Nankai University, China, where I worked as an Assistant Professor in Applied Linguistics. Alongside teaching duties at undergraduate level, I deliver pre-sessional teaching to students doing dual Master degree between Nankai University and Glasgow University. 

Before joining Nankai, I worked as an English language instructor at Tamagawa University, Tokyo, Japan. 

I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate TEFL and SLA projects, especially with research interests on vocabulary studies, second language speaking and international students' academic success.
