Year 2 Modules

Music in Context Students must take 20 credits from Genres and Composers; the module may be followed through English (WXM 2303) or Welsh (WXC 2303).

Final year project preparation Students must take at least 40 credits from the remaining options, which lead to projects in the final year. However, if both Acousmatic Composition (WXK 2235) and Composition Year 2 (WXK 2233) / Cyfansoddi Blwyddyn 2 (WXC 2233) are chosen then another module from the list must also be selected. These modules are pre-requisites for taking final-year projects.
Composition The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules.

Optional Modules The student must take between 20 and 80 credits from the modules in Optional Modules . Optional modules are subject to variation but are typically available in two-year cycles, offered in alternate years. Some optional modules are offered each year at both Levels 5 and 6: students may not take both the Level 5 and Level 6 versions of the same optional module during the course of their degree. Students may take either the Welsh or the English version of modules, but the same module may not be taken in English and Welsh.
