Music Optional Modules The student must take between 0 and 40 credits from the modules in Music Optional Modules, ensuring that the total number of Music credits taken adds up to 60. The same module cannot be taken in English and Welsh.

Orchestration Today The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules. The student may not take more than 1 module.

Genres and Composers The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules. The student may not take more than 1 module.

Year 3 Modules

Project The project may be taken in either Music or Film. In Music it may take the form of a composition, solo performance, dissertation or critical edition depending on the music modules taken in year 2. In Film it may take the form of a dissertation or a creative practice project. It the project is taken in Film then the student takes a further 20 credits in Film and 60 credits from the Music options. If the project is taken in Music then the student takes a further 20 credits in Music and 60 credits from the Film options.
