Year 1 Modules

Compulsory programme modules Students must take 20 credits of Adventures in the Creative Arts (Music) OR Language and Culture: A Toolkit (Creative Writing), then a further 40 credits in one subject and 60 credits in the other.

Creative Writing Modules The student must take between 40 and 60 credits from the modules.
Creative Writing Compulsory Modules

QXP-1001 Creative Writing: Fact and Fic (20) (Semester 2)
Creative Writing Optional Modules If a student chooses WXM-1009 Adventures in the Creative Arts they should also choose one of these optional modules. The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules.

WXS-1001 Introduction to Screenwriting (20) (Semester 2)
Music Options The student must take 40-60 credits from the modules in Music Options. If Adventures in the Creative Arts is chosen, then the student must take 40 credits from the below modules. If Language and Culture: A Toolkit is chosen then the student must take 60 credits from the Music modules.

Melody and Harmony in English or Welsh The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules.

Listening to Musical History The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules.
