Graduation Ceremonies
There has been much discussion about graduation ceremonies for the summer of 2021, given the uncertainty regarding large scale events and the restrictions currently in place as a result of the pandemic.
With this in mind, regretfully, Bangor University, like many other institutions, has taken the difficult decision to postpone summer 2021 graduation ceremonies, including those that we had hoped to re-schedule from 2020.
We felt that the decision needed to be taken now to give you plenty of notice.
In 2022, if safe to do so, we will deliver in-person graduations for you all, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Bangor to celebrate in style.
I’d like to reassure you that this decision has no impact on your ability to graduate, providing you meet the learning requirements. So, while the graduation ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate your already-awarded qualification, the decision to postpone will not have any impact on your progression to post-university life.
Graduation is an important milestone for you, your families, friends and for the University, and we will be exploring how we can mark the event, and more importantly your achievements, in the coming weeks.
Further information will be provided in due course.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor
