Languages for All – Part-time (Community) Evening Classes

You will find information on this page on how to enrol on a language class as well as timetable details and further information about materials and textbooks.

This information on this page is aimed at those those outside the University and looking for part-time (community) evening classes. If you are a Bangor University student or employee please click here.

The classes are designed to cater for a variety of levels - from absolute beginner to advanced learners seeking to develop their language skills. You can find out more about the levels here.

How do I enrol?

You can apply for a Languages for All module our Online Application Portal. Please refer to the guidance notes for help completing the form.

Please note: you will need the module code and when from the timetable below. If you experience any difficulties with the form, please contact: languagesforall@bangor.ac.uk

Languages for all Fees 2020-21

£80 per 10 week Languages for All module. Please note each module is taught over 10 weeks.

The modules will be in audit mode only – that means there will be no formal assessment of the module and no credits will be awarded on completion of the module. All sessions will be on-line only for semester 1.

Languages for All Timetable 2020-201

Each 10-credit language module consists of one taught hour per week for 10 weeks. All classes take place in the evenings, from 6-7pm. All classes will be held on-line on Microsoft Teams, starting week commencing 5th October.There are not evening classes on week commencing 26th October (half term).

Registration deadline: Thursday 1st October.

Please note: (1) Courses run subject to minimum numbers; (2) Many classes are popular - as class numbers are limited, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.  We recommend you enrol as soon as possible to avoid disappointment; (3) While the University makes every effort to ensure that the information provided is correct, the timetables may be subject to change.

Materials and Textbooks

The majority of modules require students to purchase a textbook. As soon as you are accepted onto a module, please ensure that you purchase the relevant textbook for your level. A full list of textbooks can be found here.
