University Launches £3.2 million Project Set to Boost Economic Growth

Part-funded by the EU’s Ireland/Wales Cross Border Programme, the Winning in Tendering project aims to transform smaller suppliers’ ability to win contracts and ensure home-grown organisations win a greater share of public sector business.

Diane Jones, Director of A2B Associates, took part in the pilot of the project’s Tender Review Service: "The level of analysis was extremely helpful. I did not expect a report of ten pages going through everything I had done. I had asked for feedback from the public authority and did not get this level of critique from them".

Speakers included Chris Wynne of Wynne Construction and Ian Forrester Mowatt of the North Wales Procurement Partnership.

Local business owner Linda Bailey said: "90% of our work is with the local authorities so we really need a better understanding of the tendering process in order to have more success. Winning in Tendering will help us to see what we are getting wrong and how we can get it right in the future”.
