Discover Your Home from Home During Our Open Day

Wondering where you’ll live when you join us? Our Open Day is the perfect chance to explore your accommodation options and get a real feel for student life at Bangor.

Explore Your Accommodation Options

During the Open Day, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to find out what living in our halls is really like:

  • Join Our Accommodation Tours - Although all the accommodation is within walking distance, we recommend that you hop on one of our free coaches running throughout the day to visit our halls. You’ll get a tour of Bangor and the accommodation, led by our students – a great opportunity to ask them what life is really like in university accommodation.
  • Chat With Our Accommodation Team - Want to learn more about prices, location or distance to your lectures. Our friendly accommodation staff will be based in the Exhibition Hall (in PJ Hall, right next to where you register on arrival) all day, ready to answer your questions and help you explore your options.
  • Attend the Accommodation Talk - Learn everything you need to know about applying for accommodation, costs, and what to expect when you arrive. Check the timetable to find out when and where.

Here’s what else you need to know:

  • Book Early for the Best Choice - Our halls are popular and fill up quickly, especially the most in-demand rooms. Booking early gives you the best selection and one less thing to worry about.
  • No Deposit Needed - Once you’ve received an offer from us, you can book your room with no deposit required.
  • Guaranteed Room for First Years - Even if you join us through Clearing, we guarantee a place in halls for all first-year students.

Plan Ahead For Peace Of Mind

We offer two unique accommodation villages, Ffriddoedd and St Mary’s, each with its own character, facilities, and community feel. Whether you’re looking for en-suite rooms, a quieter space, or a more social vibe, there’s something for everyone.

It is possible to visit both accommodation villages on the day if you plan carefully but as each visit can take up to an hour, it can be tricky. So we recommend doing a little research in advance so you can compare and decide which one feels right for you. Think about what matters most to you, en-suite or shared bathroom? Quiet or social?
