Overview
Nicolas is a PhD candidate in Economics and Finance at Bangor University.
His research focuses on topics in portfolio management and capital markets, with particular interests in alternative investments, risk management, and financial stability. More broadly, his work sits at the intersection of asset allocation and market dynamics, examining how investment strategies and sources of risk evolve across different market environments.
In addition to his academic research, he has contributed to applied policy work, including a policy report for Gwynedd Council following recent legislative changes on tourism taxation. This project involved reviewing the evidence base and policy rationale, assessing potential economic and distributional impacts, and translating research findings into practical, actionable recommendations for policymakers.
