Dr Saduq Fatimah
I am a doctoral researcher in Health and Social Care at Bangor University, with an interdisciplinary background in dentistry, healthcare management, organisational leadership, medical education and healthcare innovation.
My doctoral research examines the impact of work-family conflict on the mental well-being of nurses and midwives within NHS Wales, exploring the roles of Psychological Capital and Occupational Commitment. Aligned with the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, my research seeks to generate evidence that informs supportive workplace policies, strengthens workforce well-being and contributes to resilient, sustainable healthcare systems.
My wider research interests span organisational behaviour, healthcare innovation, artificial intelligence, digital health, rehabilitation technologies, including functional electrical stimulation (FES) cycling, and medical education. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that bridges technological innovation, well-being and evidence-informed healthcare practice.
I hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, an MS in Healthcare Management (Gold Medal) and a Diploma in Medical Education, alongside professional certifications in healthcare quality and quality management systems. My previous healthcare leadership and academic administration experience informs my approach to research, innovation and organisational improvement.
At Bangor University, I contribute to teaching, research activities and postgraduate research representation. My overarching ambition is to translate interdisciplinary research into meaningful improvements in healthcare policy, professional well-being and patient outcomes.
