Research Interests

Working PhD project title: Teachers' identifications of language disorders in bilingual children: A study of attitudes

Research Interests:

  • First and second language acquisition
  • Bilingual language disorders
  • Provision for pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in UK mainstream school settings
  • EAL policies in UK schools
  • Teacher (language) attitudes
  • Speech and language therapy provision for bilingual populations

As I am currently completing my PhD, I am not able to supervise PhD projects.

  • Child Bilingualism: What do we know? How do we find out?

    Two talks by Bangor University's Child Bilingualism Lab at the ESRC Festival of Social Science- Bangor 26/10/2022, Cardiff 03/11/2022. Members of the lab spoke about their individual research into childhood bilingualism in typically developing individuals, individuals with developmental disorders, and children who speak a heritage language.
