Overview
I am a Lecturer in Education and Interim Director of Initial Teacher Education at Bangor University, an education leader with 15 years' experience across schools, system leadership and Higher Education. I have held senior leadership roles in secondary schools in Wales and England, including Deputy Headteacher and Founding Regional Principal (South & West) at the National Institute of Teaching. I have also taught internationally, in Spain and France, working in bilingual settings and aligning curricula across English and national systems. I lead modules in pedagogy, creative arts, numeracy and educational leadership in both Welsh and English medium.
I hold an MA in Educational Leadership and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics, and am currently completing a Professional Doctorate (EdD) at Bangor University exploring the impact of video models in Initial Teacher Education. My particular interests include teacher education, coaching, bilingual mathematics teaching and learning, and leadership for school improvement.
