This online conference aims to explore and discuss the latest financial research during this time of great change. Since its foundation in 1973, the Institute of European Finance (IEF) has a mission of leading cutting-edge research that has a real impact on the banking and finance industries. Since the 1970s, the world has undergone major social, technological, political, and environmental transformations. Currently, we're experiencing exponentially rapid change, and this event will seek to advance our understanding of how finance can drive positive outcomes in a transforming world.
This conference invites contributions relating to contemporary financial research in a
transforming world. Topics considered should relate to the themes of the four research groups within the IEF:
Accounting and Governance: Accounting quality and governance in the era of AI
Credit Risk: The impact of technology and climate changes on credit risk and credit rating
Data Analytics and Financial Innovation: AI and forecasting
Responsible Banking: Responsible banking in an era of uncertainty
We anticipate that contributions to this conference will advance the understanding of the complex interactions between finance and social, technological, political, and environmental transformation. Submissions are invited that represent a variety of perspectives and methods, encompassing econometric and theoretical research.
Proposals for papers to be presented at the conference are to be submitted to iefconference@bangor.ac.uk.
