Overall aims and purpose

  1. Datblygu sgiliau mynegiant llafar (siarad a gwrando) myfyrwyr ail iaith.
  2. Hoelio sylw ar y berthynas – y gwahaniaethau a’r tebygrwydd – rhwng yr iaith lafar a’r iaith ysgrifenedig, er mwyn dod i adnabod yn well safonau’r iaith lafar.
  3. Datblygu cywirdeb iaith mewn trafodaethau ar amryw o bynciau, er mwyn cynyddu hyder myfyrwyr yn seminarau’r cwrs gradd.
  4. Darparu cefnogaeth ymarferol i’r myfyrwyr wrth iddynt ddilyn cyrsiau ynghyd â myfyrwyr iaith gyntaf, drwy drafod agweddau o iaith, arddull a chyweiriau rhai o’r testunau a astudir ar y cyrsiau hynny.
  5. Datblygu geirfa a sgiliau cyfathrebu cyffredinol, er mwyn caniatáu i’r myfyrwyr gyfranogi’n ddwysach o’r diwylliant Cymraeg ehangach.

Course content

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn datblygu sgiliau mynegiant llafar (siarad a gwrando). Rhoddir sylw i wahanol gyweiriau’r iaith, o’r tafodieithol i’r ffurfiol. Bydd hyfedredd yn cael ei feithrin trwy drafod materion cyfoes, gyda chyflwyniadau gan y myfyrwyr ar amrywiol bynciau. Fe’i dysgir mewn grwpiau trafod bychain a defnyddir deunydd cyfredol o’r teledu, radio a byd ffilm i gyflwyno pynciau ac i sbarduno trafodaeth. Datblygir felly wahanol sgiliau, gan gynnwys dadansoddi arddull, trawsgrifio cywir a sylwi ar y berthynas rhwng y ‘tafodieithol’ a’r ‘safonol’. Yn ogystal â’r clyweledol, trafodir gweithiau ysgrifenedig mewn amryw ffurfiau – e.e., papurau newydd, cylchgronau, blogiau, llenyddiaeth dafodieithol. Llunnir union gynnwys y modiwl yn unol ag anghenion ymarferol y myfyrwyr.

Learning outcomes

  1. Medru cyflwyno ac amddiffyn safbwynt soffistigedig ar lafar, gan arddangos cryn feistrolaeth ar arddull ac idiomau priodol.

  2. Arddangos sgiliau clywedol uchel drwy fedru deall trafodaethau llafar mewn amryw o dafodieithoedd a chyweiriau.

  3. Gallu cyfathrebu’n effeithiol yn Gymraeg mewn gwahanol gyweiriau iaith.

  4. Gallu defnyddio geirfa estynedig yn Gymraeg mewn ffordd briodol a chywir mewn amrywiaeth o gyd-destunau.
