Overall aims and purpose
Ydych chi eisiau deall pam, er enghraifft, bod rhai athletwyr yn perfformio'n well nag eraill dan bwysau, pam mae gordewdra ar gynnydd, sut mae hyfforddiant ac adferiad yn dylanwadu ar berfformiad neu rywbeth arall sy'n gysylltiedig â chwaraeon a gweithgarwch corfforol? Os felly, mae'r modiwl hwn ar eich cyfer chi! Mae ymchwil yn sylfaenol i'r hyn yr ydym ni, fel gwyddonwyr, yn ei wneud ac yn llywio ymarfer yn y diwydiant chwaraeon, iechyd a ffitrwydd. Felly, mae datblygu sgiliau ymchwil da a gallu dadansoddi data gwyddonol yn sgiliau allweddol i'w datblygu er mwyn cefnogi'ch gyrfa lwyddiannus. Mae'r modiwl yn ymarferol ac yn cynnwys gweithgareddau ymarferol sy'n ymwneud â rheoli data, cynnal dadansoddiadau data, deall gwahanol ddulliau o fynd i'r afael â gwyddoniaeth, a datblygu eich prosiectau ymchwil eich hun. Mae'r rhain yn sgiliau graddedigion byd go iawn a fydd yn eich gwneud yn fwy cyflogadwy.
Do you want to understand why, for example, some athletes perform better than others under pressure, why obesity is on the rise, how training and recovery influences performance or something else related to sport and physical activity? If so this module is for you! Research is fundamental to what we, as scientists, do and informs practice in the sport, health and fitness industry. Therefore, developing good research skills and being able to analyse scientific data are key skills to develop in order to support your successful career. The module is hands on and involves practical activities relating to data management, running data analyses, understanding different approaches to science, and developing your own research projects. These are real world graduate skills that will help make you more employable.
Course content
Wedi'i gyflwyno gan ymchwilwyr gweithredol ac ymarferwyr yn y maes chwaraeon ac ymarfer, mae'r modiwl hwn wedi'i rannu'n ddwy gydran:
Rhan A Dulliau o gynnal ymchwil lwyddiannus a chynllunio astudiaethau gwyddonol
Rhan B Sut i ddadansoddi a deall data: Ystadegau cyfrifiadol
Delivered by active researchers and practitioners within the sport and exercise domain, this module is split into two components:
Part A Approaches to conducting successful research and designing scientific studies
Part B How to analyse and understand data: Computational statistics
Assessment Criteria
excellent
Ymdriniaeth gynhwysfawr a chywir o ardal eglurder dadl a mynegiant. Dyfnder dda ar faterion theoretig.
threshold
lefel dderbyniol o ddealltwriaeth
good
sylw weddol gynhwysfawr. trefnu a'u strwythuro'n dda. Dealltwriaeth dda o'r deunydd.
Learning outcomes
-
Gwerthfawrogi sut mae gwahanol athroniaethau ynghylch ffyrdd o wybod yn dylanwadu ar ddull rhywun o ddylunio ymchwil.
-
Deall yr egwyddorion sy'n sail i fesur mewn ymchwil feintiol.
-
Dehongli prif nodweddion allbrint cyfrifiadurol SPSS o ANOVA a dadansoddiadau atchweliad.
-
Deall egwyddorion dylunio arbrofol.
-
Cyflawni gweithdrefnau sylfaenol wrth ddadansoddi data ansoddol
-
Dangos dealltwriaeth o'r egwyddorion sy'n sail i brofi amrywiant (e.e., ANOVA) ac atchweliad (atchweliad syml a lluosog).
