Overall aims and purpose
Mae ymyriadau sgiliau meddwl wedi dod yn brif ffordd i seicolegwyr chwaraeon cymhwysol gynorthwyo perfformwyr. Mewn gwirionedd, gallant sicrhau nifer o ganlyniadau / buddion i'w cleientiaid. Dros y blynyddoedd mae ymchwil a gynhaliwyd ym Mhrifysgol Bangor wedi bod yn ddylanwadol wrth lunio arfer seicolegydd chwaraeon cymhwysol. Yn y modiwl hwn byddwch yn ennill gwerthfawrogiad beirniadol o'r llenyddiaeth ymchwil gyfoes sy'n ymwneud yn bennaf â hunan-siarad a delweddaeth. Mae hyn yn bwysig oherwydd bydd yn eich galluogi i gael sylfaen gadarn i ddarparu sgiliau meddyliol ar sail tystiolaeth, ac ymyriadau mwy effeithiol gobeithio.
Mental skills interventions have become a staple way for applied sport psychologists to aid performers. In fact, they can bring about multiple outcomes/benefits for their clients. Over the years research conducted at Bangor University has been influencial in shaping applied sport psychologist's practice. In this module you will gain a critical appreciation for the contemporary research literature primarily surrounding self-talk and imagery. This is important because it will enable you to have a firm foundation to provide evidence-based mental skills, and hopefully more effective, interventions.
Course content
Mae bod yn ymarferydd ar sail tystiolaeth yn allweddol i ddarparu gwasanaeth effeithiol i gleientiaid / perfformwyr. Ar ben hynny, fel disgyblaeth wyddonol, mae theori yn sail i seicoleg. Yn seiliedig ar y dywediad nad oes "dim byd mor ymarferol â theori dda", bydd y modiwl hwn yn rhoi pwyslais ar ddamcaniaethau perthnasol a llenyddiaeth sy'n seiliedig ar ymchwil sy'n berthnasol i'r pynciau a ganlyn:
- Gwahaniaethau prosesu gwybodaeth
- Hunan-siarad
- Delweddu
Mae'n werth nodi, er bod ymchwil yn cael sylw trwy gydol y modiwl, mae'n cael ei drafod o safbwynt "felly sut mae hyn yn ddefnyddiol i berfformwyr?" gyda myfyrwyr yn chwarae rhan lawn mewn cael mewnwelediad ymarferol i ymyriadau sgiliau meddwl.
Being an evidence-based practitioner is key to providing an effective service to clients / performers. Furthermore, as a scientific discipline, psychology is underpinned by theory. Based on the adage that there is "nothing as practical as a good theory", this module will place emphasis on relevant theories and research based literature pertinent to the following topics:
- Information processing differences
- Self-talk
- Imagery
Of note, while research is covered throughout the module, it is discussed from the perspective of "so how is this helpful for performers?" with students fully involved in getting a practical insight in to mental skills interventions.
Assessment Criteria
