Dadansoddi Data Amgylcheddol

Module Facts

Run by School of Ocean Sciences

20.000 Credits or 10.000 ECTS Credits

Semester 1 & 2

Organiser: Dr Dei Huws

Overall aims and purpose

Helpu myfyrwyr i ddatblygu ystod o sgiliau a ddefnyddir yn gyffredin gan wyddonwyr naturiol, gan gynnwys sgiliau TG a'r defnydd effeithiol o'r cyfleusterau chwilio'r llyfrgell sydd ar gael yn PB, cyfrifiadau mathemategol sylfaenol, y dull gwyddonol, dadansoddi ystadegol a dylunio arbrofol.

Course content

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn darparu'r sgiliau sylfaenol sydd eu hangen ar wyddonwyr y naturiaethau er mwyn creu ac ateb cwestiynau ynglŷn â'r byd o'n cwmpas, gan ddefnyddio data amgylcheddol. Fel rhan o hyn, ceir hefyd siawns i loywi eich sgiliau iaith gan ganolbwyntio ar gyfathrebu gwyddonol.

Drwyddi, mae cysyniadau damcaniaethol yn cael eu hatgyfnerthu drwy sesiynau ymarferol, cyfrifiadurol - gan ddefnyddion ystod eang o dechnegau dadansoddol. Yn y semester gyntaf, rydych yn cael eich cyflwyno i'r fethodoleg wyddonol - y "sut mae gwyddoniaeth yn gweithio?". Yn fuan wedyn, rydych yn cael siawns to ddysgu sut i chwilio am, gwerthuso, a defnyddio gwybodaeth wyddonol awdurdodol. Mae'r syniadau a'r sgiliau yma yn hanfodol i bob modiwl arall i chi. Fe glo-ir y rhan yma o'r modiwl gan adolygu cwpl o bethau hollol syflaenol, sef ein defnydd o unedau o few gwyddoniaeth, a ffigyrau ystyrlon / thalgrynnu.

Yna, ceir sesiynau gan Ganolfan Bedwyr, sy'n rhoi siawns i chi loywi eich iaith, ac yn benodol i ddysgu sut i drawsieithu o'r Gymraeg i'r Saesneg (ia, trawsieithu, nid cyfieithu!). Eto, o ran defnyddioldeb, mae'r gallu i drin a thrafod gwybodaeth wyddonol yn y ddwy iaith yn sgil arbennig.

Dros yr ail hanner o'r semester cyntaf, canolbwyntir ar ddatblygu'r gallu i gyflwyno a dadansoddi data yn ystadegol. Yma, cewch ragymadrodd i'r meddalwedd 'R'. Eto, mi fydd bod â'r gallu i ddefnyddio'r pecyn yma yn dda o ran eich astudiaethau yn y dyfodol ac, yn wir, efallai o ran gwaith.

Yn yr ail semester, rydych yn ymuno â'r dosbarth ONS1001, i ddysgu technegau mwy estynedig, ac yn rhoi hyn i gyd ar waith mewn prosiect gwyddonol - gyda'r allbwn gorffenedig yn adroddiad swyddogol.

Assessment Criteria

threshold

Dylai myfyriwr trothwy feddu ar wybodaeth sylfaenol ynghylch sut i chwilio am lenyddiaeth wyddonol a dyfynnu ohoni gan ddefnyddio system gyfrifiadurol PCB. Dylai feddu ar allu sylfaenol i drafod setiau data gan ddefnyddio ystod o arfau mathemategol sylfaenol, ac ar allu sylfaenol i gymhwyso a dadansoddi profion ystadegol.

good

Dylai myfyriwr da feddu ar wybodaeth dda am sut i chwilio am lenyddiaeth wyddonol a dyfynnu ohoni gan ddefnyddio system gyfrifiadurol PCB. Dylai feddu ar allu da i drafod setiau data gan ddefnyddio ystod o arfau mathemategol sylfaenol, ac ar allu da i gymhwyso a dadansoddi profion ystadegol.

excellent

Dylai myfyriwr rhagorol feddu ar wybodaeth soffistigedig ynghylch sut i chwilio am lenyddiaeth wyddonol a dyfynnu ohoni gan ddefnyddio system gyfrifiadurol PCB. Dylai feddu ar allu uchel i drafod setiau data gan ddefnyddio ystod o arfau mathemategol sylfaenol, ac ar allu uchel i gymhwyso a dadansoddi profion ystadegol.
