Theori Gymdeithasegol 2022-23
SCS-3007
2022-23
School Of History, Law And Social Sciences
Module - Semester 1
20 credits
Module Organiser: Cynog Prys
Overview

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn datblygu dealltwriaeth myfyrwyr o wreiddiau theori gymdeithasegol glasurol, gan gychwyn gydag ystyriaeth o syniadau meddylwyr yr Aroleuad a sut maent yn parhau'n ddylanwadol hyd heddiw. Ystyrir yn arbennig gyfraniad Emile Durkheim, Karl Marx a Max Weber at ddatblygiad theori gymdeithasegol. Ystyrir eu cyfraniad at ein dealltwriaeth o dwf cyfalafiaeth, theori gwrthdaro, biwrocratiaeth, ffwythiannaeth, a rheolaeth gymdeithasol. Yna edrychir ar gorff o waith sy'n feirniadol o theori glasurol, sef theori ffeministiaeth. Gwelir sut mae syniadaeth yn y maes hwn wedi datblygu'n hanesyddol hyd at y sefyllfa gyfoes. Mae theori ffeministiaeth yn cynnwys ystod eang o safbwyntiau gwleidyddol ac athronyddol, o ffeministiaeth ryddfrydol sy'n canolbwyntio ar greu newid yn amodau byw'r ferch unigol, hyd at y ffeminstiaid radical sydd am weld y sefyllfa gymdeithasol bresennol yn cael ei gwyrdroi'n llwyr. Maes astudiaeth ffeministiaid Marcsaidd-sosialaidd yw cyfalafiaeth a phatriarchaeth, ac ystyrir beirniadaeth y ffeministiaid hyn ar theori gymdeithasegol glasurol.

B- B- -good -DaBydd myfyrwyr da yn gallu dangos dealltwriaeth a barn aeddfed, yn gallu weld y cyswllt rhwng theoriau ac ymarfer cymdeithasol, ac yn gallu cyfeirio at weithiau ac enghreifftiau perthnasol.

A* - A- -excellent -RhagorolBydd myfyrwyr rhagorol yn gallu defnyddio'r wybodaeth yn ddansoddol a beirniadol, ac yn gallu cymhwyso'r theoriau at sefyllfaeoedd cymdeithasol penodol.
