Overall aims and purpose

Bwriad y modiwl yw craffu ar y gwahanol fodelau o addysg ddwyieithog ac mae’n canolbwyntio ar natur ac anghenion unigolion dwyieithog mewn cyd-destun addysgol, deallusol a chymdeithasol. Mae’n ymchwilio i amcanion ymchwil i ddwyieithrwydd ac yn gwerthuso adnoddau dwyieithog.

Course content

Bydd y modiwl yn ymwneud â phynciau megis natur dwyieithrwydd, effeithiau dwyieithrwydd ar ddatblygiad gwybyddol person, effeithiau cymdeithasol dwyieithrwydd, cynllunio addysg ddwyieithog, ayb. Bydd yn tynnu ar yr ymchwil rhyngwladol perthnasol a wnaed yn y meysydd hyn. Y bwriad yw edrych ar sefyllfa ddwyieithog Cymru o fewn cyd-destun ehangach. Cynnwys: 1. Mathau o ddwyieithrwydd. 2. Dwyieithrwydd a deallusrwydd. 3. Rhai o fanteision dwyieithrwydd. 4. Cymhelliant ac ymagweddiad. 5. Dwyieithrwydd a'r gymdeithas. 6. Adfywio ac atgyfodi iaith. 7. Datblygu'n ddwyieithog. 8. Mathau o addysg ddwyieithog. 9. Effeithiolrwydd addysg ddwyieithog. 10. Amrywiol effeithiau gwahanol drefniannau ysgol a dosbarth. Asesu: 1. Asesinad 3000 o eiriau (50%). 2. Arholiad ysgrifenedig dwy awr (50%).

  1. Bydd myfyrwyr llwyddiannus yn gallu gwneud y canlynol: 1. ymchwilio i safbwyntiau beirniadol a hanesyddol ar ddwyieithrwydd; 2. gwerthuso’n feirniadol y ddarpariaeth ar gyfer y Gymraeg ac ar gyfer ieithoedd lleiafrifol eraill mewn gwledydd eraill; 3. dangos ymwybyddiaeth feirniadol o’r cysyniad o ddwyieithrwydd ac o’i heffeithiau cadarnhaol a gwerthuso swyddogaeth cymdeithas mewn hyrwyddo dwyieithrwydd; 4. adfyfyrio’n feirniadol ar effaith polisi addysgol ar gynllunio iaith mewn gwledydd eraill.
