Sgiliau Ymarferol 2

Module Facts

Run by School of Natural Sciences

20.000 Credits or 10.000 ECTS Credits

Semester 2

Organiser: Dr Stella Farrar

Overall aims and purpose

Nod y modiwl hwn yw adeiladu ar sylfaen sgiliau'r labordy a'r sgiliau gwyddonol a throsglwyddadwy a gyflwynwyd yn Semester un, a datblygu'r sgiliau sy'n angenrheidiol i fyfyrwyr astudio, ymchwilio a chyfleu pynciau yn y biowyddorau. Ymhlith y nodau mwy penodol mae: • Datblygu sgiliau megis chwilio drwy'r llenyddiaeth, cadw cofnodion, a thechnegau maes ymarferol a'r labordy. • Cyflwyno'r myfyrwyr i fframio a phrofi damcaniaethau. • Cyflwyno'r myfyrwyr i ddylunio, gweithredu a dadansoddi arbrofion. • Cyflwyno myfyrwyr i dechnegau ystadegol a dangos sut mae eu cymhwyso i ddata arbrofol gwirioneddol a gafwyd yn sesiynau ymarferol y modiwl. • Paratoi adroddiad gwyddonol yn null llawysgrif gyhoeddedig.

Course content

Bydd 5 sesiwn ymarferol mewn labordy (ar amrywiaeth o bynciau) ac un trip maes. Mae'r rhain wedi'u cynllunio i gyflwyno'r myfyrwyr i amrywiaeth o organebau, technegau labordy a dadansoddiadau ystadegol. Bydd hefyd 12 darlith a 7 sesiwn cymorth dewisol. Bydd y myfyrwyr yn datblygu amrywiol sgiliau ymarferol, a byddant yn cael eu cyflwyno i brofion ystadegol, gan gynnwys profion t ac ANOVA, ar gyfer dadansoddi eu canlyniadau.

Assessment Criteria

C- to C+

Byddai gan fyfyriwr gradd C wybodaeth resymol am sut i ddod o hyd i wybodaeth wyddonol, ei defnyddio a'i chyflwyno. Byddent yn gallu gwneud gwaith ymarferol yn ddiogel ac yn ddibynadwy, a dangos lefel o gymhwysedd mewn sgiliau ymarferol a throsglwyddadwy sy'n berthnasol i'r biowyddorau.

excellent

Bydd gan fyfyriwr rhagorol afael rhagorol am sut i ddod o hyd i wybodaeth wyddonol, ei gwerthuso a'i chyflwyno'n feirniadol. Byddent yn gallu gwneud gwaith ymarferol yn ddiogel ac yn gywir, a dangos lefel gymedrol o gymhwysedd mewn sgiliau ymarferol a throsglwyddadwy sy'n berthnasol i'r biowyddorau.

good

Bydd gan fyfyriwr da wybodaeth sylfaenol am sut i ddod o hyd i wybodaeth wyddonol, ei defnyddio a'i chyflwyno. Byddent yn gallu gwneud gwaith ymarferol yn ddiogel ac yn gywir, a dangos lefel gymedrol o gymhwysedd mewn sgiliau ymarferol a throsglwyddadwy sy'n berthnasol i'r biowyddorau.

threshold

Bydd gan fyfyriwr trothwy wybodaeth sylfaenol am sut i ddod o hyd i wybodaeth wyddonol, ei defnyddio a'i chyflwyno. Byddent yn gallu gwneud gwaith ymarferol yn ddiogel, a dangos lefel gymedrol o gymhwysedd mewn sgiliau ymarferol a throsglwyddadwy sy'n berthnasol i'r Biowyddorau.

Learning outcomes

  1. Cynllunio a chyhnnal arbrofion gyda rheolyddion gwyddonol llym.

  2. Perfformio cyfrifiadau mathemategol gwyddonol syml sy'n ymwneud â moledd,
unedau SI, crynodiadau a gwanediadau, a datrys problemau rhifiadol sy'n gysylltiedig â phrosesau biolegol. Lluniwch gromlin cwrel.

  3. Mae gwybodaeth ym maes ansefydlogrwydd genomau yn ddymunol.

  4. Deall amrywiaeth o wahanol ddulliau ystadegol o ddadansoddi gwahanol fathau o ddata gwyddonol, a dewis a chymhwyso dadansoddiad ystadegol priodol i set ddata.

  5. Cadw cofnodion cywir, ac ysgrifennu adroddiadau gwyddonol trefnus a chydlynol, gyda deunydd darllen a rhestrau cyfeirio gyda chyfeiriadau priodol.

  6. Defnyddio offer sylfaenol y labordy yn briodol (megis sbectroffotmedrau, baddonau dŵr, cymysgydd fortecs ac allgyrchydd) a dilyn arferion diogel yn y labordy.
