Overall aims and purpose

Mae'r modiwl yn cyflwyno myfyrwyr i astudiaeth gymdeithasegol plentyndod ac ieuenctid trwy drafod sut y mae cysyniadau a dealltwriaethau plentyndod yn cael eu pennu'n gymdeithasol, yn ddiwylliannol ac yn hanesyddol. Archwilir y syniadau hyn gan drafod sut y mae syniadau hanesyddol yn effeithio ar sut y mae cymdeithas y 21ain Ganrif yn ystyried, portreadu a deall plant a phobl ifanc. Ystyrir ofnau oedolion am blentyndod ac ieuenctid cyfoes trwy drafod ffactorau megis y cyfryngau, addysg, technoleg, rhwydweithio cymdeithasol, teuluoedd a chyfoedion. Trafodir themau allweddol, meysydd o ddiddordeb a phynciau llosg sydd yn perthyn i fywydau plant a phobl ifanc gan ddefnyddio'r ymchwil mwyaf diweddar cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol ym maes Astudiaethau Plentyndod ac Ieuenctid.

Course content

Cefnogir myfyrwyr i drafod a herio syniadau dominyddol am blentyndod ac ieuenctid trwy ymchwilio i bynciau megis y canlynol: Sut y mae cymdeithas yn adeiladu ystyr plentyndod ac ieuenctid? Sut y mae syniadau am blentyndod ac ieuenctid wedi newid dros amser? Portreadau o blentyndod ac ieuenctid (cyfryngau, addysg, gyfraith) Risg a gwytnwch Stereoteipio ar sail rhywedd Plentyndod ac ieuenctid fel adeg o ddiniweidrwydd/gwyro Marchnata plentyndod ac ieuenctid Sut y mae syniadau am rhywedd yn siapio ac effeithio ar hunaniaethau plant a phobl ifanc? Disney a phortreadau o rolau rhywedd Ydy technoleg wedi rhyddhau neu ddinistrio pobl ifanc? Ydy plant a phobl ifanc yn dioddef prynwriaeth neu ydy'n eu grymuso?

  • integrate ideas and findings across the multiple perspectives in early childhood studies and recognise distinctive early childhood studies approaches to relevant issues
