Overall aims and purpose

Bwriad y modiwl yw datblygu dealltwriaeth myfyrwyr o’r fframweithiau a’r methodolegau theoretig sydd yn sail i ddulliau ymchwil ym maes plentyndod ac addysg. Mae’n edrych ar sut y defnyddir methodoleg i gynhyrchu tystiolaeth gadarn a sut i ddefnyddio'r dystiolaeth at bwrpasau dadansoddi. Eglurir y camau priodol i’w dilyn wrth gynnal ymchwil moesegol gyda phlant a rhoddir arweiniad ar sut i ddefnyddio sgiliau gwahanol i ymchwilio a chyflwyno canfyddiadau mewn adroddiad ymchwil. Bydd myfyrwyr yn llunio cynnig ymchwil, trwy drafod gyda goruchwyliwr – gan nodi’n eglur y fethodoleg a ddefnyddir a sut y bydd hynny’n dylanwadu ar eu dull gweithio. Mae’r modiwl yn paratoi myfyrwyr ar gyfer modiwl y traethawd hir XAC3023 yn y BA Astudiaethau Plentyndod.

Course content

Mae’r modiwl yn canolbwyntio ar y canlynol: • damcaniaethau ymchwil, sgiliau ysgrifennu traethawd hir, a dewis y fethodoleg gywir ar gyfer maes ymchwil y myfyrwyr;
• prif ddulliau casglu data, gan gynnwys dogfennau, ffotograffau, cyfweliadau, astudiaethau achos, grwpiau ffocws, holiaduron a dulliau ethnograffig. • enghreifftiau o ymchwil y darlithydd ei hun ac o waith arall yn yr Ysgol gan gynnwys profiadau ymchwilwyr doethurol ac ôl-ddoethurol. • seiliau athronyddol ymchwil, trafod ac egluro natur traethawd hir a chanfod a dewis maes astudio; • y prif gysyniadau sydd dan sylw wrth lunio’r cwestiynau i’w hastudio a ffurfio rhagdybiaeth.

  4. Arddangos dealltwriaeth beirniadol o’r ystod o ystyriaethau moesegol wrth wneud ymchwil sy'n ymwneud â phlant neu bobl ifanc a gallu gwerthuso’r gwahanol ddulliau;

  5. Arddangos dealltwriaeth o arwyddocâd dulliau ymchwil ansoddol a meintiol;

  6. Arddangos dealltwriaeth beirniadol o gynnwys adroddiad ymchwil da;

  7. Cynllunio cynnig ymchwil, gan gynnwys dethol dulliau ymchwil priodol, ar bwnc sy’n ymwneud â phlant a phobl ifanc.
