Bangor hosts ESCR-funded seminar on Financial Modelling
Bangor Business School recently played host to the first seminar in a series which will look at the origins of the 2008 financial crisis and the lessons that can be learnt from it.
Hosted by Professor Philip Molyneux, Professor of Banking and Finance at Bangor, the ESRC-funded seminar, entitled ‘Financial Modelling Post-2008: Where Next? Seminar 1’ took place at Bangor University on 28th and 29th November 2012. Key note speakers attended from Cambridge University, the Bank of England, the University of Bath, Vanderbilt University (USA) and Tilburg University (Netherlands).
Professor Molyneux is co-investigator on the ESRC-funded seminar series, in which leading experts will present papers on financial modelling, explore the topic in relation to the 2008 crisis, and consider the potential repercussions in light of the crisis.
