London Centre hosts first ever CIMAC conference
Bangor Business School London Centre hosted the first ever conference by CIMAC (the Centre for Impression Management in Accounting Communication) on Friday, 6th June.
Located at Bangor University, CIMAC provides cutting-edge research expertise on impression management in accounting communication. Its CIMAC is to promote, conduct and encourage research at Bangor Business School with an emphasis on contemporary issues related to influencing the perceptions of organisational audiences by means of accounting communication, encompassing both financial statements (earnings management) and accounting narratives.
This inaugural conference united academics from as far afield as the University of Antwerp, the University of Lugano, Exeter University and Royal Holloway. The guest speaker was Charles Cho, Professor of Social and Environmental Accounting at ESSEC Business School, Paris.
