Developing Elite Athletes using Virtual Reality
Training and Rehabilitation are important aspects of professional sport, from grass roots to the international level. Virtual reality can be used to aid in the training and rehabilitation of players in different areas of their sporting careers. Rezzil designs and develops applications that use Virtual Reality to aid in training and rehabilitation across a variety of areas in different sports, including skill acquisition in Football, referee training in Basketball, and reaction training for Formula one drivers. Research have been conducted using our software. Some examples of these include research conducted by Manchester Metropolitan University to negate the long-term effects of heading a football, and research conducted at Aspetar in Qatar around concussion treatment and duty of care after concussion.
Dr Thomas W Day completed a B.Sc. He is now a software engineer working at Rezzil, an XR Sports company with clients across a variety of sports across the world, based in Manchester.
