Lintel: A Poetry Anthology
Join us to celebrate the launch of the poetry anthology created and edited by our students. They will be joined by Grug Muse for the final event in our series of readings by visiting writers.
Students on Bangor University’s Master of Arts in Creative Writing (English) have come together from near and far, collaborating on this new anthology of poetry with wide-ranging themes spanning nature and culture.
Zoë Skoulding, Professor of Poetry and Creative Writing, says: ‘I am delighted to support our students in this project. Their writing is impressive, as is their commitment to bringing it out in a published form. We always encourage collaboration on the MA and it’s wonderful to see them bringing their ideas together in this varied anthology.’
During the event students will read their own work in the company of guest writer Grug Muse.
Grug Muse is a poet and essayist living in the Dyfi Valley, and a co-editor at Stamp and Ffosfforws. One of Wales's leading voices on nature and the environment, she is also active in presenting poetry in Welsh to different audiences. Grug will present a bilingual poetry reading in a joint celebration of the student anthology and 200th anniversary of the Telford Suspension Bridge.
This is a free event presented as part of the Poetry Bridges project, supported by the generosity of former students through the Bangor Fund.
