Overall aims and purpose

Mae mwy i grefydd yng Nghymru na Christnogaeth Anghydffurfiol yn unig, ac amcan y modiwl hwn yw cyflwyno myfyrwyr i’r traddodiadau ysbrydol amrywiol a chyfoethog sy’n bodoli yn y Gymru gyfoes. Bydd y modiwl yn archwilio amrediad eang o draddodiadau crefyddol, gan ddechrau gyda Christnogaeth gan mai dyna’r grefydd sydd, yn draddodiadol, wedi bod o ddylanwad mwyaf, cyn ystyried sut y mae crefyddau eraill, megis Iddewiaeth, Hindŵaeth a Bwdhaeth, wedi eu sefydlu eu hunain o fewn cyd-destun Celtaidd drwy broses o gymathu, a chan greu hunaniaethau amrywiol ac amlddiwylliannol. Bydd y modiwl yn cloi drwy ystyried Jediaeth, crefydd newydd a sefydlwyd yng Nghymru ac sy’n cynnwys agweddau cyfatebol i themâu ac ideolegau crefyddau’r Dwyrain. Amcan a phwrpas y modiwl hwn, felly, yw galluogi myfyrwyr i adnabod a gwerthfawrogi’r gymdeithas amlgrefyddol ac amlddiwylliannol sy’n nodweddu’r Gymru gyfoes.
