International Experience Year
The Opportunity of a Lifetime
Studying or working abroad as part of your degree is the opportunity of a lifetime.
If you have ever wondered about taking a gap year, or a trip over the summer and have regretted not doing so, then our study abroad programmes give you the opportunity to really make the most of your study experience.
Traditionally, British students would go abroad during their second year of university and would transfer back to Bangor the credits they had gained. Bangor has introduced a new system whereby you can take an ‘International Experience Year’. On successful completion of your four-year degree you will graduate with ‘with international experience’ added to your degree title.
Where are our students now?
This year, just from the Psychology department, students are spending up to a year abroad in countries including Canada, South Korea, Australia, The Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Germany, USA, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
For more information about where you could go as a Bangor student visit the ‘Outgoing’ section of the Student Exchanges site.
Study Abroad Opportunities
The School of Psychology is keen to help students make the most of their experience by encouraging them to study or work abroad as part of their degree.
