Mr Mike Morris
Overview
My current research examines psychosocial factors and structural biases, such as the Relative Age Effect, in esports. My broader research interest is talent development across a variety of domains, not limited to sport but also including education, business, and other performance contexts. While I aim to publish in English to maximise reach and impact, I am committed to offering outreach and summaries in Welsh to ensure accessibility within my community.

Other Information
I continue to contribute to Reaching Wider projects that help young learners explore career options, whether through university pathways or into STEM professions linked to my previous career. I have also worked as a POPS mentor, teaching public speaking skills to students, and voulenteered as a peer guide where I supported many new students during their transition into university. These experiences build on my earlier role training and mentoring apprentices, and reflect the same interest in supporting development that guides my research.
