Ms Giovanna Culeddu

Overview

Giovanna is a Research Officer in Pharmaco-economics at the Centre for Health Economics and Medicine Evaluation.

Previous to this post Giovanna worked as a researcher for Manchester City Council. She holds a MSc in Research Methods and Statistics from the University of Manchester and a MA degree in International Development: poverty, conflict and reconstruction from the University of Manchester. She is a trained quantitative researcher.

Giovanna joined CHEME in 2015. Since then she has been appointed as the Health Economist of a variety of research projects and randomised controlled trials. These research led to several publications in prestigious journals icluding LANCET, and Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

Giovanna is undertaking a PhD in Pharmaco-economics as a staff candidate. Her thesis will explore the applicability of different statistical methods (frequentist approach versus Bayesian) for trial-based cost effectiveness analyses.
