Overview
Luyi Wang joined Bangor University as a Lecturer in Music in January 2024, after completing her PhD in Education at the University of Glasgow in 2023. She also holds an MA in Music Education from the University of York and a BA in Musicology (Music Education pathway) from Xiamen University, China.
With over a decade of experience, Luyi has been teaching music in a variety of settings, including schools, universities, and community programmes. She is an Associate Fellow of Advance HE. Her research interests include music education, active and creative pedagogies, EDI (equality, diversity, inclusion), and the role of music in health and wellbeing.
