  • Ysgol Rhosneigr Visit to Dean Street

    Years 5 and 6 from Ysgol Rhosneigr visited the school for a day of workshops including building hand glider out of household items, code-breaking and sending messages using Morse code.

  • Bangor University Festival of Science

    Two days of science events hosted by the University. The School hosted the Joule Thief workshop, and demonstrated the NAO6 Humanoid Autonomous robot and the UR3e Robotic Arm. There were also workshops from Technocamps, the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Centre, and the Nuclear futures Institute (NFI).

  • Bangor University Community Day

    The event was an opportunity for the University to open its doors to the local community, and showcase how Bangor University contributes to the social, economic, environmental and cultural life of North Wales and beyond through a range of activities, from research and teaching to leisure and entertainment facilities.

  • Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Llŷn ac Eifionydd 2023

    The School conducted a number of STEM workshops throughout the week of the National Eisteddfod as part of the Science and Technology Village, in collaboration with Technocamps.

  • MSparc - Clwb Sparci

    In this action-packed Clwb Sparci you will get not one but two workshops from Technocamps at Bangor University!

    In the engineering section, you will learn how to build a Joule Thief Circuit which will extract the last bit of energy from any “dead” batteries you may have! The voltage is enough to light an LED bulb; come and learn all the science behind this and how to make it yourself!

    Secondly, we will be bringing Ibiza to Colwyn Bay as we run Techno-Techno-Techno-camps! In this Algorave workshop, you will learn what an algorithm is and how to code it and create your own music using a Sonic Pi!
