Early career researchers attending the Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers (ASSG) conference in Oban were encouraged to create collaborative, cross-institutional projects to support shellfish aquaculture, with winning projects being awarded the finances to to complete the project within the year. Our project was designed to understand consumer behaviours through social media content analysis, and to inform future industry marketing campaigns and encourage consumption of local seafood.
