Widening Access in the Community

In addition to developing further links with the community and providing an overview of Bangor University’s current work in the area, the Centre supports projects in partnerships with people who are already active in the community. The aim of these projects is to raise aspirations of individuals of all ages who have no experience of higher education, providing an opportunity for the University academic staff and partners of the Widening Access Network to offer taster activities that could raise confidence and give people an opportunity to visit the University and get to know it.

The University’s Widening Access Centre works closely with the North and Mid Wales Reaching Wider Partnership, providing progression opportunities from Reaching Wider projects in Communities First areas.
