At the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP), Bangor University, we offer a range of opportunities to learn and deepen mindfulness, from introductory courses to professional training and continuing development. Whether you wish to cultivate mindfulness in your own life or to develop the skills to teach others, our programmes combine experiential learning, research-informed teaching, and a strong emphasis on personal practice.
Explore our two learning pathways below.
Teach Mindfulness
The Teach Mindfulness pathway offers professional training and continuing development for those wishing to teach mindfulness in clinical, educational, or community settings. Drawing on internationally recognised good practice and the CMRP’s long-established expertise, these courses provide both foundational and advanced training for teachers, as well as ongoing CPD opportunities.
Our programmes emphasise personal practice as the ground of teaching competence, combining experiential learning, theoretical understanding, and supervised teaching practice. They are suitable for mindfulness teachers, health and social care professionals, educators, and others integrating mindfulness into their work.
Through a developmental approach, participants refine the knowledge, skills, and embodiment required to teach with authenticity, sensitivity, and ethical integrity

Learn Mindfulness
Mindfulness can be cultivated as a way of living — supporting greater well-being, resilience, meaning and connection in everyday life. Our Learn Mindfulness short courses introduce participants to the foundations of mindfulness through experiential learning, guided practice, and reflective inquiry.
These courses are designed for anyone wishing to explore mindfulness for personal development, stress reduction, and enhanced emotional awareness. Whether you are completely new to mindfulness or seeking to deepen your existing practice, our evidence-based programmes draw on decades of research and teaching experience at Bangor University’s Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP).
Through structured sessions, participants are supported to integrate mindfulness into daily activities and to develop skills that enhance self-care and compassion while finding deeper meaning in everyday life.
