Overview
Panagiotis (Panos) is a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering , Bangor University, UK, and a member of the Visualization, Modelling and Graphics (VMG) reserch group. He is also the Director of Student Engagement. Panos completed his PhD at the Vision and Synthetic Environments Laboratory, of the University of Essex in 2006. He also holds a MEng on Electronic Systems Engineering, from the University of Essex (2000).
Previously, Panos was a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Chester, UK (2015/16), a post-doctoral researcher in the School of Computer Science, Bangor University, UK (2011-2015), and a software developer with Intracom Telecom S.A., Greece (2007-2011).

Panos' research interests lie in the domain of human-computer interaction and include:

He is particularly interested in potential synergies between these fields within different flavours of human-data interaction, such as beyond-the-desktop visualization and immersive analytics.
