Dissertation The student must take 60 credits from the modules in Dissertation. The student must take 1 modules from Dissertation.

Foundations of Linguistics This module is compulsory unless a student has a bachelor's degree in Linguistics or a related subject. Students with a relevent bachelor's degree must discuss this with their tutor in Welcome Week, who will decide on an exemption. If exempted, students take 20 credits of relevant semester 1 modules in the School.

for non-native English speakers Non native English speakers are permitted to take up to 20 credits from the following list in place of an optional module if authorised by the personal tutor. The student must take a maximum of 20 credits from the modules in for non-native English speakers.
