Theori Gymdeithasegol

Theori Gymdeithasegol 2024-25
SCS-3007
2024-25
School Of History, Law And Social Sciences
Module - Semester 1
20 credits
Module Organiser: Cynog Prys
Overview

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn datblygu dealltwriaeth myfyrwyr o wreiddiau theori gymdeithasegol glasurol, gan gychwyn gydag ystyriaeth o syniadau meddylwyr yr Aroleuad a sut maent yn parhau'n ddylanwadol hyd heddiw. Ystyrir yn arbennig gyfraniad Emile Durkheim, Karl Marx a Max Weber at ddatblygiad theori gymdeithasegol. Ystyrir eu cyfraniad at ein dealltwriaeth o dwf cyfalafiaeth, theori gwrthdaro, biwrocratiaeth, ffwythiannaeth, a rheolaeth gymdeithasol. Yna edrychir ar gorff o waith sy'n feirniadol o theori glasurol, sef theori ffeministiaeth. Gwelir sut mae syniadaeth yn y maes hwn wedi datblygu'n hanesyddol hyd at y sefyllfa gyfoes. Mae theori ffeministiaeth yn cynnwys ystod eang o safbwyntiau gwleidyddol ac athronyddol, o ffeministiaeth ryddfrydol sy'n canolbwyntio ar greu newid yn amodau byw'r ferch unigol, hyd at y ffeminstiaid radical sydd am weld y sefyllfa gymdeithasol bresennol yn cael ei gwyrdroi'n llwyr. Maes astudiaeth ffeministiaid Marcsaidd-sosialaidd yw cyfalafiaeth a phatriarchaeth, ac ystyrir beirniadaeth y ffeministiaid hyn ar theori gymdeithasegol glasurol.

Nod y modiwl hwn yn datblygu dealltwriaeth myfyrwyr o’r modd y datblygodd theori gymdeithasegol glasurol fel dull o wneud synnwyr o gymdeithas. Mae'r modiwl yn cychwyn drwy ystyried ymdriniaethau cynnar cymdeithasegwyr clasurol, a’i dylanwadau, gan ffocysu ar waith Emile Durkheim, Karl Marx a Max Weber.

Mae Durkheim yn enw cyfarwydd ym maes theori gymdeithasegol, gan ei fod yn cyflwyno syniadau am y cysyniad o gymdeithas fel corff organig. Mae Marx yn adnabyddus am ei waith ar theori gwrthdaro, gan dynnu sylw at yr anghydraddoldebau cymdeithasol a fodolai o fewn y gymdeithas gyfalafol. Yn y cyfamser, mae Weber yn enwog am ei waith ar fiwrocratiaeth, rheolaeth gymdeithasol a chymdeithasau rhyngweithiol. Tra bod y modiwl hwn yn cyflwyno'r damcaniaethau allweddol hyn o fewn theori gymdeithasegol glasurol, mae’r modiwl hefyd yn cyfeirio at y modd y datblygodd cymdeithasegwyr mwy diweddar ei gwaith gan ei gymhwyso i gymdeithas gyfoes. Yn flaenllaw o blith y damcaniaethau hyn mae gwaith y ffeministiaid a ddatblygodd theori gymdeithasegol a oedd yn ymateb i'r heriau a wynebwyd gan ferched o fewn cymdeithas.

Assessment Strategy

D+ D -threshold -TrothwyEr mwyn llwyddo yn y modiwl hwn, bydd disgwyl i'r myfyrwyr gyflawni'r deilliannau ar y lefel sylfaenol h.y. bydd gofyn iddynt ddangos ymwybyddiaeth o brif weithiau theori glasurol a ffeministiaeth a'r prif gysyniadau perthnasol, bod yn ymwybodol o'r dylanwadau a fu ar eu syniadau.

B- B- -good -DaBydd myfyrwyr da yn gallu dangos dealltwriaeth a barn aeddfed, yn gallu weld y cyswllt rhwng theoriau ac ymarfer cymdeithasol, ac yn gallu cyfeirio at weithiau ac enghreifftiau perthnasol.

A* - A- -excellent -RhagorolBydd myfyrwyr rhagorol yn gallu defnyddio'r wybodaeth yn ddansoddol a beirniadol, ac yn gallu cymhwyso'r theoriau at sefyllfaeoedd cymdeithasol penodol.
