Module Facts

Run by School of Educational Sciences

Semester 2

Organiser: Dr Nia Young

Overall aims and purpose

Mae amcangyfrifon yn awgrymu bod mwy na 30% o blant a phobl ifanc yn byw mewn teulu yr effeithir arno gan gamddefnyddio neu gam-drin sylweddau. O ganlyniad, mae'r rhan fwyaf o bobl sy'n gweithio gyda phlant a phobl ifanc yn debygol o wynebu'r mater hwn ar ryw adeg. Nod y modiwl hwn yw paratoi myfyrwyr i weithio gyda ac ar ran phlant a phobl ifanc sydd ag anawsterau sy'n gysylltiedig â defnyddio cyffuriau. Boed y mater yn ymwneud ag iechyd mam sy'n goryfed mewn pyliau, gofalu am dad sy'n ddibynnol ar heroin neu lywio'r pwysau cymdeithasol i ddefnyddio sylweddau eu hunain, mae'r modiwl hwn yn ystyried yr effaith ar y plentyn. Archwilir barn a phrofiadau plant a phobl ifanc a bydd y modiwl yn caniatáu i fyfyrwyr ddeall sut mae dibyniaeth yn digwydd a sut y gall siapio datblygiad a phrofiad plentyn. Byddwn yn ystyried sut mae cyffuriau cyfreithiol ac anghyfreithlon yn cael eu cyflwyno i blant yn y cyfryngau a thrwy gymdeithas, gan edrych ar gerddoriaeth boblogaidd a theledu plant. Bydd y modiwl hefyd yn edrych ar y stigma sy'n gysylltiedig â chamddefnyddio sylweddau yn y teulu ac yn rhoi cyfle i fyfyrwyr fyfyrio ar a datblygu eu safbwynt eu hunain ynglŷn â hyn a fydd yn rhoi sylfaen gadarn ar gyfer eu dull o weithio gyda theuluoedd yn y dyfodol.

Course content

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn dadansoddi'n bennaf yr agweddau seicolegol-gymdeithasol ar ddibyniaeth ar sylweddau yng nghyd-destun y teulu i ddarparu archwiliad trylwyr o:

  • Pam mae pobl yn camddefnyddio sylweddau
  • Beichiogrwydd ac ysmygu, yfed a defnyddio cyffuriau
  • Beth sy'n digwydd i blant pan fydd rhieni'n cymryd cyffuriau
  • Yfed a'r system ofal
  • Gofalwyr ifanc a rhieni sy'n ddibynnol ar sylweddau
  • Byw gyda brodyr a chwiorydd sy'n gaeth
  • Plant sy'n cam-drin sylweddau
  • Cyffuriau, y gyfraith a chymdeithas
  • Cyffuriau ac enwogrwydd.
