  3. Archwilio'r cysylltiad rhwng datblygiadau hanesyddol a pholisiau cymdeithasol cyfoes.
  4. Dadansoddi'r prif bolisiau cymdeithasol gyda ffocws ar Gymru ers datganoli, ac ystyried pwy yw'r prif ddarparwyr lles, a sut y telir am les cymdeithasol
  5. Cymharu datblygiadau ym maes polisi cymdeithasol yng Nghymru gyda gwledydd Ewropeaidd eaill

Course content

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn ystyried beth yw polisi cymdeithasol, ac yn trafod cysyniadau allweddol yn y maes.Cyflwynir ideolegau traddodiadol a chyfoes ym maes polisi cymdeithasol.Mae'r modiwl yn edrych ar ddatblygiad polisiau cymdeithasol o ddechrau y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg hyd at y presennol, a gwneir hynny o fewn cyd-destun gwleidyddol, economaidd, a chymdeithasol.Ystyrier pwy yw'r prif ddarparwyr lles,ynghyd a sut y telir am les cymdeithasol. Edrychir yn arbennig ar y dimensiwn Cymreig wrth ystyried anghenion,polisiau cymdeithasol a darpariaeth lles yng Nghymru, a bydd cyfle i ystyried yn fras datblygiadau mewn polisi cymdeithasol mewn gwledydd Ewropeaidd eraill.

Fe fydd y myfyrwyr yn gallu egluro ar lefel elfennol beth yw polisi cymdeithasol, ac yn gallu dangos ymwybyddiaeth fras o'r cysyniadau allweddol yn y maes. Bydd y myfyrwyr yn gallu disgrifio'n sylfaenol y prif theorïau ym maes polisi cymdeithasol, ac yn gallu egluro'n fras sut mae'r wladwriaeth yn ariannu a darparu gwasanaethau. Bydd gan y myfyrwyr ddealltwriaeth sylfaenol am ddatblygiad y gwasanaethau cymdeithasol ac yn gallu ymdrin yn fras a rhai o'r polisïau cymdeithasol cyfoes. Bydd y myfyrwyr yn gallu dangos dealltwriaeth sylfaenol am rôl y prif ddarparwyr, ac yn gallu dangos ymwybyddiaeth gyffredinol o'r dimensiwn Cymreig ym maes Polisi Cymdeithasol. Dylai'r myfyrwyr gael dealltwriaeth elfennol am rôl yr Undeb Ewropeaidd ym maes Polisi Cymdeithasol.

  • Critically evaluate the mixed economy of welfare and the interrelationships between health and social care and between the agencies, practitioners and individuals involved in their provision;
  • Explain the origins and nature of the social organisation of healthcare and associated services in advanced industrialised and majority world societies globally;
  • Evaluate the impact of difference and diversity on the incidence and experience of illness;
  • Analyse health and health issues, alongside health information and data that may be drawn from a wide range of disciplines;
  • Use the theories and concepts of social policy and other social sciences to analyse policy problems and issues
  • Undertake either on their own, or in collaboration with others, investigations of social questions, issues and problems, using statistical and other data derived from research publications.
