International Open Access Week- October 24th – 30th 2016

The theme for Open Access Week this year is “Open in Action”.  You can read more at the International Open Access Week website.

During the week there will be a number of events at Bangor, of specific interest to you are:

(1)    A training session on Open Access publishing on 25th October 2-3pm, it’s in the doctoral school training programme, book online at Doctoral School website.

(2)    24th October: An event on Open Access to Sensitive Research Data, 2-4pm TCR3 with Guest Speakers: Professor Mark Elliot, Professor of Data Science, Manchester University and UK Anonymisation Network (via videoconference) and Dr Catrin Tudur Smith, Reader in Medical Statistics, Liverpool University, title of talk: Good practice principles for sharing individual participant data from publicly funded clinical trials.  If you would like to attend this event please email c.a.roberts@bangor.ac.uk to book your place.
