Law School’s ICPS gears up for annual Procurement Conference

Final preparations are underway for a major international conference organised by Bangor Law School’s Institute for Competition and Procurement Studies.

Organised in partnership with the Welsh Government, and held in Cardiff, Procurement Week 2014 will unite thinkers, regulators and academics from the field of public procurement for a lively and stimulating debate on the key issues.

Procurement Week will begin on March 18th and 19th with a bespoke workshop dedicated to helping 15 UK-based high-performance start-ups learn about how to use procurement techniques, developed at Bangor, as a growth accelerator.

On March 20th, Procurement Week will become a major international conference as leading procurement practitioners and experts from as far afield as Washington, Brazil and South Africa come together to discuss topical issues including new developments in procurement law, the politics of procurement policy, and procurement as a social agenda driver.

Thanks to substantial support from the Welsh Government, attendance of the conference is free, although interested parties are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure one of a limited number of places.
